I’ve been recording local journalists in my hometown of Southport in the northwest for several months now. It’s part of Behind the Headlines, an oral history project I have started along with Dr Rachel Matthews, and Clare Jenkins from Sheffield. We’re supported by the NUJ and the OralHistorySociety.
A want to give a huge thanks to all the people who’ve given up their time to talk to me. It’s been fascinating, and sometimes sad, to hear their experiences – many of which chime with mine.
